Prior to the start of each V8Thunder season, Team Ecosse holds a challenge event for team members and friends of the team. These events are not taken too seriously, and are just an opportunity to have some fun races and build team spirit.

When the challenge first started, it was held over multiple evenings. Over time it has changed into a one evening only event. But what hasn't changed are the short races and the tendency to use short tracks.

Previous winners of the Team Ecosse Challenge are Leen de Koning, Erik Gelotte (twice!), Jonathan Rex, Mark Harrison and Davey Zoutenbier.
